Nursia, in Umbria, is the birthplace of St. Benedict and St. Scholastica, known for their meats, is still rebuilding from an earthquake a few years ago, but a wonderful area near Assisi. Be sure to Montefalco and their wines, then Spoleto, a special place for St. Francis. Many American Catholic families are moving to Nursia for the excellent school located there.
