Don’t like the food on the planes? Who does, unless you’re in the first class section. When in Rome, grab some good Italian bread and cheese at a local market before heading to the airport, or grab one of the great sandwiches sold at the coffee counters in Fumicino. We’ve done both on occasion and as we’re flying home we grab a glass of vino off the drink cart and toast to our latest venture while savoring the flavors of Italy all the way home.
Not sure what food products you can bring home? You may have to eat it all on the plane. Check out these links! And remember it isn’t just food you have to declare, you also have to be careful of all agricultural products or organic materials, such as certain souvenirs, rocks/sand/soil, and even musical instruments!
