Italy Travel Warning Alert

Italian landscape

I just learned that the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has recommended people postpone all non-essential travel to Italy due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Italy. As a professional travel consultant, I feel I have the responsibility to advise you that if you are planning travel to Italy soon you should follow the CDC guidelines for the safety and well-being of you and your friends and family.

It’s very important to be educated as much as possible at this time. Due to COVID-19 many hotels, airlines, etc. have changed their cancellation policies due to the disease. Please go to the websites of your travel agent, hotel and airline providers for up to date information and contact them directly if you have specific questions.

I also recommend you check the CDC website and their comprehensive section on COVID-19 for up to date information on the virus to keep you and your family safe. I am praying that this outbreak will be short-lived and that travel soon will resume to beautiful Italia.
