Mostly Sunny! The Latest Travel Forecast for Italy

COVID-19 and the weather have a great deal in common. I think we can all agree that one thing we’ve learned from the Coronavirus over the last year, is that the only thing constant, much like the elements, has been change. The latest forecast for Italy travel has indeed changed. The good news is that there is finally plenty of sunshine on the tourism horizon.

Breaking news over the weekend means there is now good reason to do more than just dream about that long awaited Italian holiday. You might want to start the planning stages, as Italy is now opening, through increased COVID-free flights, and that means leisure travel for foreign tourists including Americans. COVID-free flights have been available through Delta Airlines for some time, but mostly for those considered “essential” workers.

For all the latest on this developing story, please tune in to my radio program, Catholic Connection, as I interview John Hale, President of Corporate Travel Service, Monday, May 17th, at 8:15am Eastern Time, or listen to the show archive later.

In the meantime, we are providing you a few of the many articles detailing the changes. We also hope you will take some time to review two fantastic pilgrimage itineraries we’re planning for this fall, including a romantic couples’ trip to Tuscany and Rome, and a women’s retreat also based under the Tuscan sun.

As always, it is best to consult your own specialists as well as government agencies before making final decisions. But for now, brush off those brochures and give overseas travel to one of the most popular destinations in the world, some serious thought. And last but not least, don’t forget all of the great resources for all things Italy on my website TravelItalyExpert.com.
